Thank you for your interest in using BackupAssist to manage and secure your Windows Imaging backups on Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista.
In late February 2008 we released a beta version of BackupAssist that contained support for the Windows Imaging features in Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista. The beta program went well, and we obtained some useful feedback.
One piece of feedback out of the beta program came the request for a file-based backup engine for Server 2008, in addition to the drive imaging features. In order to provide this, we have decided to delay the release for the integration of BackupAssist and the new drive imaging features until Version 5 – which is due in Q3, 2008.
We are currently in the process of building a new Beta version of the software. This new version will be available shortly and current testers will be notified upon its release.
We would like to thank everyone for their support in the initial beta testing and hope that will continue when we release the new BackupAssist v5 beta.
