Email notifications

Many of our clients use USB drives for backup and rotate a drive offsite once per week. We diable the "tape change" notifications because they cause confusion. BA will allows us to setup a notification once per week that tells them to rotate the drive, but it would be very nice if we could setup an additional notification to ask them to bring the other drive onsite the day before...

Example:

Thursday at 8am the Backup Operator gets an email telling them to bring the other USB drive onsite tommorow

Friday at 8am the Backup Operator gets another email asking them to go ahead and remove the current USB drive and connect the other one.

This is quite a good idea. Thanks for posting this in our forums.

We're currently working on version 4 of the software, and the notifications section is something we have been working on.

I will discuss your suggestion with the developers to see if it could be a possible inclusion.
