Monthly and weekly backups only on mondays?

I am backing up up around 250GB of data. BA uses a mapped network drive to backup the files over the network to a remote server.

I am willing to accept the fact that a full backup will take 15+ hours due to limited network speed.
Nobody is in the office during the weekends so a full backup can take all the time it needs.

I am using the the following backup schedule:


Full backup on friday and every other weekday an incremental backup.
I would also like to have a monthly backup cycling every month.

It looks like I am completely missing some option but I just can not seem to find a way to make the monthly backup start on friday.

It will automatically start every first monday of the motnh.
Obviously a monthly incremental backup is something I do not want.

I would like my monthly backup to start every friday instead of my normal full backup.

Thanks for your post, this is Andrew from BackupAssist support.

To make the monthly backup run on a Friday instead of the default Monday please follow the steps below;

1. Go to the Scheduling screen and click the More Options link
2. Click on the Media Pool tab
3. Change the setting for 'Perform monthly and weekly backups on:' to Friday, then click OK

You should then see the Month job listed on the first Friday of each month.

Totally overlooked the option, thanks.

I wasnt expecting the option in the 'weekly' column when trying to set a monthly option in 'Media pool' view.
