System State Backups
What the System State backup involves
BackupAssist gives you the ability to backup your machine's system state which is a backup of the following:
- Registry
- COM+ Class Registration database
- Boot files, including the system files
- Certificate Services database
- Active Directory directory service
- SYSVOL directory
- Cluster service information
- IIS Metadirectory
- System files that are under Windows File Protection
Once the system state data has been backed up, you can use this information to restore your system settings in the event of system failure or corruption - so it is always a good idea to have a safe backup of your system state.
