Verifying the data you have backed up with BackupAssist™

In BackupAssist™ you can choose to verify the data you have backed up once the backup process completes. Verifying your data after the backup completes checks the data backed up by BackupAssist™ against the data from its original location your hard disk/network/etc and ensures that the data backed up is exactly the same.

Note: Files that are in use at the time of backup may sometimes cause verification errors, but you can generally ignore these errors. If there are a significant number of verification errors, you may have a problem with the media or the file you are backing up to. If this should occur, it would be wise to try and use different media or designate another file to perform the backup operation.
