How to Change Your backup Selection File

Backup Selection files store information concerning which files to include and exclude from your backup job. All directory and file selections you make are saved to these *.bks files. BackupAssist™ allows you to specify the selection file you wish to use for your backup job. This feature is most useful if you currently maintain a set of different selection files that you continually use for backups.

IE: You might have separate selection files for user data, email data, program data, and so on, you may want to store these selections in separate selection files and continually load them when needed.

1. Select the 'Files & Dirs Tab' in BackupAssist™

2. Select 'Change Backup selection file'

3. Browse for your selection file or enter the path manually
