Quickest Method of Enumerating Files

Postby supanatral » Thu Dec 08, 2011 1:07 pm

My predecessor had setup the most efficient backup ever by using rsync; the backup found the files needing to be backed up offsite within 30 seconds and it was bandwidth friendly. The downside of this backup method was that is was not user friendly and involved setting up scripts containing mostly gobbledygook and somehow have the crontab maintain the additional backup scripts after a reboot. Now that I'm the IT admin, I want to simplify the backup method.

Here's my question: What is the quickest way for BackupAssist to enumerate the file needing to be backed up?

The files are being backed up to a separate branch office which is linked together at a firewall VPN level so security and encryption is not a concern.
