SQL Stopped Backing Up

Postby garak0410 » Sat Apr 21, 2012 4:39 am

Our main SQL server stopped backing up on Monday and I cannot find a solution to the problem. It writes to a non-domain linux based NAS. All other backups are doing fine, including some local to workstation SQL backups. Just the two instances from our SQL server fail. It backs up from our WINDOWS SMALL BUSINESS SERVER 2003, finds the SQL instances on the SQL server and then writes to the NAS via a share. No problem at all until we had a power outage last Friday and bam, no more backups from the SQL server. I've emailed the helpful staff with Backup Assist but still haven't fond a solution. Any suggestions?

Here's the errror:

Cannot open the specified destination directory from the server - it may not exist or the SQL server may not have the correct authorisation
Cannot open backup device '\\backup01\SQLBackup\SQLSERVER_^_DYNAMICSV90-Contracts-20120420.132554.171-FULL.bak'. Operating system error 1326(Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.). BACKUP DATABASE is terminating abnormally.

Keep in mind all other backups are fine.
