Centralized Monitoring Console (CMC) FAQ

How does it work?

Basically, BackupAssist will post the results of the backup to our hosted BackupAssist Centralised Monitoring Console (CMC) and our service will collate and process the information to produce the overall consolidated reports.

What is your privacy policy?

We have a vigorous privacy policy – please refer to our Privacy and Data Collection Policy document

What about servers without Internet connections?

A working Internet connection is required for servers to post their backup results to our servers.

The alternative is hosting the CMC on your internal LAN/WAN. Please see the question below.

Can I host a CMC server myself?

If you’re looking at installing 100+ copies of BackupAssist and wish to host your own CMC server, we may be able to provide you with a custom licence of our code. Please contact our sales department at sales@backupassist.com to discuss your requirements.
