Presentation for Vancouver SBS User Group Members

A message from Linus Chang, Lead Developer of BackupAssist

During a meeting with Vancouver SBS User Group Leader, Jasminder Rai, in August 2005, Jas asked me to prepare a presentation for his SBS user group in the August meeting. Unfortunately I was only staying in Vancouver for a few days and couldn't present personally. However, I have put together a 14 minute presentation specifically for the Vancouver SBS User Group.

In this presentation, I'll describe why so many small business I.T. administrators find that BackupAssist saves them time by automating the backup process, and how it benefits their clients by saving them hundreds (or thousands) of dollars over the big brands of backup software.

"Good work and a economical solution. It had already cost me more in man-hours trying to get Small Business Server 2003 Backup to work correctly than BackupAssist cost. Ten minutes to install and configure - Spot On. Our QA auditor also thought it was great."

"Ease of use, email notifications... I was convinced after the first backup.

We've also put together a special offer for the Vancouver SBS User Group (because Jasminder was such a nice guy, we had to do something for him.) Five commercial licenses, valued at CAD $171 each, were distributed on the night, and everyone received a free NFR license.

I hope that you find BackupAssist useful, and that it'll save you and your clients some time and money!

Best regards,

Linus Chang
