Setting File Replication specific options
The Replication Options Window is where you can configure settings that are specific to the File Replication Method that the job was created with. Generally, the default values will work for most users but it may be necessary to alter these values, particularly when requested by the BackupAssist technical support team.
Learn more about backup methods
To access the Replications Options Window:
Use full path
Use this option to specify whether you want BackupAssist to maintain the same folder structure as the original source files when copying (mirroring) files to your backup device.
Keep deleted files
Retain files that have been deleted from the source location on the backup destination.
Copy NTFS security attributes and alternate data streams
Specify whether NTFS metadata, such as alternate data streams and security data, is copied to the backup destination.
File attributes warnings
Specify whether a warning will appear in the backup report when the destination you are backing up to does not support System and Hidden attributes.
Reparse point warnings
The File Replication engine will not back up reparse points. You can choose to have a warning displayed in your backup report when any reparse points are skipped.
Maximum skipped files
Specify the maximum number of open files that can be skipped and not backed up before the backup is aborted.
Media usage timeout
Minutes to wait before BackupAssist will terminate the attempt to generate the media usage report.
