Configuring Zip destination options for tape backups

 

There are specific destination settings that can be configured for Zip Method jobs when backing up to a standalone tape drive.

To access these destination settings:

  1. Click Jobs in the navigation bar
  2. Select the File Replication job to be edited and click Edit at the bottom of the window.
  3. Click Destination on the left menu.

Tape drive options
Here you can select and configure the tape drive you want to backup to.

Media checking
Specify how BackupAssist should handle unrecognized or unprepared tape media or what action to take if the wrong tape media has been inserted (eg. Tuesday's tape is inserted on a Wednesday). These settings will determine what action BackupAssist should take (ie. backup and warn the user of incorrect media or do not backup at all).
