BackupAssist v9 Beta is launching soon!
Not long till you can try out the awesome new features.

BackupAssist v9 Beta will be available for available for download in the coming weeks!

This new version introduces some ground-breaking new features, making it a really big leap forward for BackupAssist.

Here are the highlights:

 

NEW Hyper-V Tab
BackupAssist v9 will automatically detect when it's installed on a Hyper-V system and display a brand new tab in the UI. This tab allows you to easily view your Hyper-V guests, manage their backup statuses, and perform fast, easy virtual recoveries.

 
NEW Rapid VM Recoveries
Our new Hyper-V Advanced add-on (formerly Hyper-V Granular Restore Console) now includes Rapid VM Recovery. It allows you to use an existing host to rapidly spin up lost or corrupted guests on their backup destination. This means you can get crucial systems temporarily back online and operational in just seconds, giving you the time you need to plan a full recovery.

NEW Bootable Backup Media
In BackupAssist v9, recovering a system to bare-metal is easier than ever. You can now make any System Protection backup to a USB Hard Drive a bootable recovery device. Your recovery media and the primary backup are now the same device.
 
NEW 2TB+ VHDX Data Containers
You've asked for it, and we've delivered! BackupAssist v9 offers full support for VHDX Data Containers. This means that when using Windows Server 2012 or 2012 R2, you can create backups to data containers larger than 2TB. In fact, in some cases these backups can be as large as 64TB!

NEW Plus a WHOLE lot more!
Other new features include up to 30% faster System Protection backups and up to 40% faster File Protection backups, a new easier to use integrated Restore Console, On-Demand Analytics for backup destinations, advanced Hyper-V reporting and much more!
