Media is write protected and cannot be written to

BA1108	BackupAssist	BackupAssist v4 onward.

Description

The backup media is write protected and BackupAssist is unable to write the backup to the destination due to this.

Resolution

If backing up to external hard drive make sure that the drive isn't set to read only. If so change the option to allow for the drive to be written to.

If backing up to tape drive make sure that the write protection isn't set to the locked position, if it is set to locked then set to unlock.
