Description

This error usually indicates that there is corrupt files or an issue with the drives involved.

Resolution

Try backing up to an alternate backup location to see if this works correctly? This will help isolate the issue down to being with the source or destination.

Perform a chkdsk scan on the source and destination drives to make sure there isn't any bad sectors on the drive. In the past it's been confirmed that a badly fragmented disk can cause similar issues. Run a de-fragmentation of both the destination and source drives.
