Description
When backing up to a local hard drive, this error indicates that the drive has run out of space.
Prior to service pack 1 there was a bug in Windows 2003 that could cause this error.
Resolution
Resolution 1. Free up disk space on the destination drive
If the schedule for your job is something other than 'Most recent full' you may not have enough room for the schedule. The 'Basic' scheme requires enough room for 5 full backups, and other schemes generally require more space. You may want to use the 'Most recent full' scheme which will give you access to the Backup storage options through the destination tab. These options allow you to manage the amount of space required by your backups.
Resolution 2. Windows 2003 hotfix
Microsoft has released a hotfix for this issue. This hotfix was included in service pack 1. If you have not installed service pack 1 you can find the hotfix here:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=817688 .
Our thanks goes to M. Spissinger from Canada for this information.
