Description
This error message is misleadingand occurs when theselection file can be found but one or more entries in the selection file are not available for backup.
Resolution
Resolution 1. Backup user identity (Exchange)
The Backup user identity must have privileges to access and backup your Exchange Server. Normally the Administrator user is fine for this. Please check your user permissions for Exchange
On some SBS servers you may need to leave the Domain field blank in the Backup user identity. Go toSettings > Backup user identity, and clear the Domain field.
Resolution 2. Exchange server tools
If you are backing up a remote Exchange Server, you need to have the Exchange libraries installed on your backup machine so that it can communicate with Exchange.
Resolution 3. SQL Server setup
If you are backing up your SQL Server, this message can mean that your backup user does not have access to the SQL Backup Directory. Instructions can be found here: SQL Server Protection
