BackupAssist

SQL 2000 and BackupAssist v4 onward.

Description

This error can be caused by not performing a full backup of your SQL databases. However it's also been noted that sometimes SQL Server doesn't detect that BackupAssist is performing full backup's and will return this error.

Resolution

Make sure that you're performing full backups of your SQL databases within BackupAssist.
If you are performing full backups, you may need to perform a full backup through the native SQL backup to make sure it's aware there is a full backup performed (this doesn't affect full SQL backups previously performed through BackupAssist).
To do this open the SQL Management Studio then drill down the file structure to the actual databases (see screen shot below).

Right click on the database and select Tasks > Back up..., once you're in the Back up UI for SQL, just perform a full backup of each database. All the settings should reflect those you have setup in BackupAssist already.
