Description
BackupAssist is trying to backup an Exchange Server that cannot be contacted.
Common causes of this include:
- Incorrect server name
- Insufficient permissions (especially across Domains)
- The Exchange Server is currently unavailable, services stopped or stores dismounted
- There is a network problem
Resolution
Please check:
- You have selected the correct Exchange Server to backup
- Your backup user has sufficient permissions to backup the Exchange Server (your backup user should be a member of a group with the Exchange Administrative role)
- The Exchange Server is started and is running properly
- Your network is setup correctly; you can ping the server
- Your Exchange Server is on the same domain as your backup computer
