Description

This warning is generated when a REV disk that wasn't expected by BackupAssist is inserted into the REV drive when the backup starts.

Resolution

Insert the disk into the REV drive which has been prepared for the backup which is about to run.

To prepare media follow the steps below:

  1. Open BackupAssist.
  2. Select Manage Backup Jobs.
  3. Select the backup job.
  4. Select Edit from the top menu.
  5. Select Prepare Media from the top menu.
  6. Attach the drive you want to be prepared.
  7. Click Prepare on the relevant media name.

Manage : Prepare Media

The media will then be assigned to that media label. For example a disk prepared for the 'Monday' label will be expected by BackupAssist each Monday.
