The wrong QuikStor / RDX cartridge is inserted

Description

This warning is generated when an drive that was not expected by BackupAssist is inserted into the RDX drive when the backup starts.

Resolution

There are 3 possible resolutions for this problem

Solution 1 - Insert the RDX cartridge expected for that backup.

To find the name of the RDX cartridge which BackupAssist is expecting:

1. Open BackupAssist.
2. Select Manage Backup Jobs
3. Select the backup job.
4. Select Edit from the top menu
5. Select Calendar from the options on the left
6. Check the date of the backup that is to be run and the name of the drive will be contained within the information provided.

Solution 2 - Prepare the RDX cartridge for backup.

To prepare media follow the steps below:

1. Open BackupAssist.
2. Select Manage Backup Jobs.
3. Select the backup job.
4. Select Edit from the top menu.
5. Select Prepare Media from the top menu.
6. Attach the drive you want to be prepared.
7. Click Prepare on the relevant media name.

The media will then be assigned to that media label. For example a disk prepared for the 'Monday' label will be expected by BackupAssist each Monday.

Solution 3 - Do not use BackupAssist to manage your media.

To stop BackupAssist from tracking which media is being used:

1. Open BackupAssist.
2. Select Manage Backup Jobs.
3. Select the backup job.
4. Select Edit from the top menu.
5. Select Destination from the options on the left.
6. Under the Media Checking section, untick Let BackupAssist keep track of your media.
