Description
System Protection is unable to back up to a disk with 4 KB sectors.
Physical sector size is 4kb. System Protection detected a 512 byte logical sector size.
Applies to the following operating systems:
- Windows Server 2008
- Windows SBS 2008
- Windows Vista
- Windows Server 2008 R2
- Windows Server SBS 2011
- Windows 7
Resolution
Review the Microsoft Advanced format (4K) disk compatibility update documentation available at the Microsoft MSDN and support sites. These resources will explain this update and how it could resolve the error for your operating system. Install the Microsoft Advanced format (4K) disk compatibility update if it is identified as a solution.
You should also refer to your disk manufacturer's support to determine if a newer version of the device driver can resolve the problem. If it can resolve the problem, download and install the latest device driver.
