Description
This error is generated when BackupAssist is unable to initialize the iSCSI target that you are attempting to back up to.
Resolution
If BackupAssist is unable to initialize and mount the iSCSI target through Windows, it is a good idea to attempt the initialization through Windows directly as a test.
The steps to perform this can be found on page 18 of our Using iSCSI with BackupAssist guide.
If you are unable to initialize the iSCSI target directly through Windows without receiving errors or warnings, the iSCSI target may not be configured correctly and may need to be recreated.
Once you have reconfigured or recreated the iSCSI target, try re-running the backup to see if it is successful.
