Description
The media preparation process for your external HDD media, failed to access the media to determine its suitability for bootable backup creation.
Resolution
This may be a temporary Windows issue with the external media.
Check that the media is accessible through Windows Explorer or the drive management console, and then retry the Prepare step.
- If media preparation process still fails, reformat the HDD and try again.
- If media preparation process still fails, the drive is likely unusable for bootable backups.
