Settings Window: editing global settings in BackupAssist

 

The Settings Window is where you can configure settings that apply globally to all backup jobs that have been configured, such as the backup user identity, which BackupAssist uses to simulate a login to the machine and perform a backup.

To access the Settings Window:

  1. Click Settings in the navigation bar.

Backup user identity
The identity used by BackupAssist to simulate a login to the machine a perform a backup.

 

Mapped network drives
Network paths/directories that are available for backup

   
 

Email server settings
The details of the mail server used to send email reminders and report notifications

Network broadcast address list
A list of network addresses that can be sent reminder and report notifications

       

Email address list
A list of email addresses that can be sent reminder and report notifications
