Getting to know the BackupAssist interface

 

Once you have completed the Initial Setup BackupAssist will launch the BackupAssist console, which is the main interface used to interact with the software.
The initial setup during installation

  1. The Basic File Menu helps you quickly access both basic and advanced BackupAssist settings and functions.
  2. The Navigation Bar helps you quickly navigate to common areas in BackupAssist (see below for more information).
  3. The View / Config Window is where you view and configure BackupAssist settings.

Home
Access common areas, view recent backup history and perform updates.

 

Jobs
Edit, create, and remove backup jobs.

   
 

Monitor
View the progress of backup jobs currently running.

Reports
View the results of previously run backups.

   
 

Events
View and analyze backup events for troubleshooting

Restore
Restore data from your BackupAssist backups.

Settings
Modify global settings in BackupAssist.
