BA6123: BackupAssist ER Engine Access denied

Error code Product Applies to
BA6123 BackupAssist ER BackupAssist ER v1 and later

Description

The backup job was unable to access the backup destination

Resolution

Check that the destination is accessible.

For a private cloud

  • Check that the server running the backup can access the internet.
  • If you are using HTTPS, check that the certificate is still valid.

For a public cloud

  • Check that the server running the backup can access the internet.
  • Check that your cloud account is still active and that you can browse to the job’s destination.
  • Check that the destination details specified in the job are still valid and have not changed.

For a local destination

  • Check that you can access the local destination by browsing to it.
  • Check any cables and ports to make sure there's no problem with the physical connection.

For a local NAS destination

  • To access a NAS destination, a backup job may need to have authentication credentials. If this is the case, review the backup job to make sure the correct credentials have been provided.
  • Check that the NAS drivers and firmware are up to date. The drivers and firmware will be available from your NAS vendor.

Perform a test using an alternate destination

This will help isolate the issue, which may be related to the backup configuration or the selected destination.
