Description¶
This is an information message to tell you that BackupAssist ER added extra VSS components to your backup.
Possible reasons for adding components are:
- A compulsory component of a participating VSS writer was not selected - BackupAssist ER automatically included the compulsory component to ensure that the writer's backup was complete and consistent.
- A non-compulsory component of a participating VSS writer was added by BackupAssist ER - This applies only to imaging jobs where selection of individual files and folders, rather than only whole volumes, is possible. It also only applies when the VSS mode is set to Full rather than Copy. BackupAssist ER determined that a non-selected component needed to be backed up to ensure that its log files were backed up before being truncated.
