A BackupAssist Feature Snapshot:

Virtual & Physical Server Backup

BackupAssist provides you with powerful backup tools for your virtual and physical servers.
Create full image, file-level and archival server backups. Store them onsite or in the cloud.

Any Kind of Physical Backup

With BackupAssist, you can protect your data and systems in the way that is best for your business.

Want to be able to recover your system from bare metal? Recover from even the worst disaster by performing a full image server backup.

Looking to back up just a few files, folders or drives? Just select what you want and use our File Backup feature to preserve them.

Got data you no longer use but can't delete? Use our File Archiving feature to compress, encrypt and archive your old data ready for cold storage.

... And Virtual Backup as Well

Protect your Hyper-V hosts and guests with our advanced backup tools. Our software is licensed per host, not per guest or port.

Perform full and granular VM recoveries, restore individual guests from multi-guest backups, and more.

Our dedicated Hyper-V tab lets you easily manage and monitor the backup status of your Hyper-V Guests.

Supported Backup Destinations

Wondering what backup destinations our software supports? The short answer is all of them!

BackupAssist supports backup to local drives, network locations (NAS), public and private cloud, USB HDD, SAN, RDX, iSCSI, and tape.

Our Cloud Backup Add-on provides customers with several advanced cloud-specific features, such as data duplication, seeding and cloud independence.

Our software currently supports Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, WebDav and rSync solutions.

Set-and-Forget Backups

BackupAssist is designed so you only have to set it up once to enjoy peace of mind. Our automated backup schemes help free you up to do better things with your time.

We offer a number of industry tested schemes to choose from, or you can create your own custom scheme. Select any combination or number of automated daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly backups.

You can get as specific as you want: exact days and dates, number and frequency of rotating media, and more.

Advanced Backup Reporting

After automating your backups, make sure you're never out of the loop!

Receive brief or in-depth reports on the success or failure of your backups, or create a custom report with as much detail as you need.

You can also create recipient lists to keep any relevant team members in the loop. Create different lists to send different reports on the same job. E.g. A simple report for members on one list, and an in-depth report for members on the other.

Incremental Backups

Our software only backs up what has changed since your last backup was performed, saving you time, space and bandwidth.

The first time you perform a full backup of your system, our software takes a complete snapshot of your data and stores it for future reference.

The next time you perform a it compares that snapshot against the data on your machine, and only backs up what has changed. This minimizes the time, space and processing power needed for your future backups.

Systems Supported

BackupAssist is hardware agnostic, so you can backup servers and end-points, then restore your data to the same or dissimilar hardware. For OS compatability, click below.
