Each year on the 25th of April, Australia takes a day off to remember solider who have died in conflict. This day – which we call ANZAC Day – is a national holiday and as such, our Australian support team will not be in the office on 25 April. US support will be operating as per usual.
If you have an urgent inquiry please contact the US support team or email us at support@backupassist.com
ANZAC Day is similar to Veteran’s Day in the US or Remembrance Day in the UK. There is a great Wikipedia article if you’d like to know more about the history and traditions of the day.
Earlier in the year we put out a series on using Rsync with BackupAssist. Soon afterwards we launched v7. We realized that there were some slight changes in the process with v7 so we re-recorded the videos that weren’t current anymore.

Over the Easter weekend we are cutting back our support in Australia. US support will be operating as usual – that is Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm Eastern Time.
Australian support will be closed on Friday 29th March and Monday 1 April. If’ you’re in Australia and need support on these days, you can contact our US team via email (support@backupassist.com) or via phone (+1 812 206 4265 when dialling internationally).
Our Australian technical support office will be closed on Monday, 28 January, due to an expected shortage of kangaroos. Kangaroos are the primary mode of transport in Australia and many of them will be fully booked for the national Australia Day holiday.
If you have a query please send it by email or if it is urgent, please contact our US office.
Thank you
The team at BackupAssist
P.S. The part about everyone riding kangaroos is a joke, the part about the office being closed is not.
