Microsoft Azure Revenue Jumps 98% YoY

Microsoft has expanded it's already mammoth presence, with its Azure service drawing in double the profit it did just a year ago.

The popularity of Microsoft’s cloud solution, Azure, has skyrocketed. According to Microsoft’s latest financial earning report, Azure revenue has jumped by a whopping 98% year-over-year.

And it’s not the only place they’re seeing gains. The same report shows Office 365 commercial revenue was up 41%. While far more offices use the non-subscription version of Microsoft Office, surveys are showing that gap closing rapidly (See below)

It’s no shocker to anyone in IT, but it looks like 2018 is going to see increasing adoption of cloud technology. A likely place this growth will occur is in Europe, where cloud technology has seen a later adoption than in the U.S. market.
