SBS Mailbox
  • 9900: Important fix for BA1875 unhandled exception "Value cannot be null" that randomly occurs for some larger mailbox backups.
  • 9589: Notify the user when attempting to use Outlook 2003 to back up mailboxes from an Exchange 2010 Server, which is not currently supported.
Zip/Restore
  • 9820: Important fix for tape-only bug that could potentially result in corrupted restored files. Errors may or may not be reported, but can include: "broken uncompressed block", "Illegal rep dist code", and "The data is invalid".
  • 10006: NEW - Confirm that every file restores correctly using a CRC check.
  • 10004: Increase the speed of tape restores by about 5-10%.
  • 9819:  Fixed error in Restore Console where errors were incorrectly reported on files that were restored successfully. The restore report has also been enhanced.
  • 9613: Fixed an error in the unzipping code that would occasionally drop a portion of the restored file, writing zeros instead of the lost chunk of data.
  • 9930: Files with Unicode characters in the filename can now be restored without additional steps.
  • 9834: Fixed UI glitch causing the progress bar to stop if an error was encountered during the restore process. Restore Console window is also re-sized correctly now.
Imaging
  • 9977: To avoid confusion, volumes that aren't NTFS are now shown in the files, folders and applications selections UI, though these volumes are not available for selection.
Install/upgrade
  • 10035: Fixed major issue preventing the backup console from opening on upgrade or new install of v6.2.3. Workaround is to install Windows Backup.
Server Core
  • 9271: Added support in the Hyper-V Config Reporter for Server Core and Hyper-V Server (core) systems.
Miscellaneous
  • 9685: Enhanced diagnostics to include information about disabled components and disk information.

User Interface
  • 9830: Minor tweak in JobWizard - skip "Recovery Type" tab if it has only one option available, automatically activating the next tab instead.
  • 9829: Fixed bug in the New Job Wizard, which could incorrectly display options belonging to different backup method.

Backup schemes
  • New - 7564: "Daily backup weekly rotating" schemes for File Replication, Zip and Imaging jobs to external hard disk/RDX/REV/Optical media/Tape. Full backups daily to the same medium, which are rotated weekly.

Mailbox backup and restore
  • 8653: Non-critical warnings are no longer displayed in the backup report if a mailbox backup is successful.
  • 7079: Downgrade "Table is too large" from error to warning, since an overflow PST is automatically created in this case.
  • 8695: Fixed BA4321 error in a large mailbox backup that runs for an extended period of time.
  • 8706: Fixed BA4401 error during a large mailbox backup.
