What's new in BackupAssist 11¶
BackupAssist Classic v11 provides great new features to help you stay cyber-resilient.
Cyber Black Box recorder¶
Faster investigations, better remediations.
After a cyber hacking incident, investigators rely on forensics to piece together what happened. Unfortunately, SMBs rarely gather and keep such evidence. Cyber Black Box captures vital forensics information and includes them in the backups. Current and historical forensics are now available to investigators.

Password protection for the BackupAssist Console¶
An extra layer of security.
To prevent unauthorized users from changing backup configurations and running unplanned backups, the BackupAssist Classic console can now be secured with a password. This feature allows you to set up a password hint and apply for a secure password reset via BackupAssist Helpdesk.

S3-compatible destinations for cloud backups¶
More options, smaller storage costs.
An S3-compatible destination can now be used to back up to a 3rd party cloud storage service like Wasabi or a private cloud using software like MinIO. Pick the right option to suit your security requirements, data handling / compliance needs, and budget.

CryptoSafeGuard enhancements¶
