BA4205: Amount of free space on the destination media could not be determined.¶
No technical support
TrueCrypt encryption was discontinued after BackupAssist v8 and no longer receives technical support. We recommend BitLocker encryption instead.

Description¶
Preconditions for the error:
- File Protection job
- TrueCrypt container on network location selected as a destination
- Ticked option [x] Use all available space
The error is reported upon an attempt to create TrueCrypt container if BackupAssist cannot determine the amount of free space available on the destination media.
Prior to this fix this problem can be reported as following errors:
- BA4202 Insufficient free space to create TrueCrypt container.
- BA4201 Could not create TrueCrypt container.
Resolution¶
- Edit the back job (Jobs tab\ Manage menu.)
- Go to Destination section.
- Un-tick [ ] Use all available space option.
- Specify the desirable max volume size for the TrueCrypt container.
