BA5206: Media can't be made bootable - not enough space to create a bootable partition¶
| Error code | Product | Applies to |
|---|---|---|
| BA5206 | BackupAssist | BackupAssist v9 and later |
Description¶
The media preparation process for your external HDD has determined that the media cannot be made bootable because there is no available space.
Resolution¶
There are 2 possible resolutions for this problem
Resolution 1 - free up space on the backup destination¶
Free up some space on the current media, to allow BackupAssist to create the Bootable Backup Media.
Resolution 2 - make a separate bootable media¶
You can create a separate standalone recovery media (on a different external device) using RecoverAssist on BackupAssist's Recovery tab. To learn how to use the RecoverAssist Builder, see the Creating a bootable recovery media section of the RecoverAssist Builder guide.
