Description¶
The error message you are receiving indicates that the BackupAssist advanced open files addon is not currently installed on the machine. However, you have chosen to make use of the BackupAssist snap shot manager to perform the backups of any open files (Open files tab in BackupAssist).
Resolution¶
The default install of our software does not include the open files module, as the install will require a server re-start. To manually install the BackupAssist open files snap shot manager, please go to: Control panel > add / remove programs > select BackupAssist > click change > choose Modify and the wizard will guide you through the rest of the process.
To complete the installation, you would need to re-start the machine.
