Description¶
7-zip is a third party compression engine which BackupAssist utilises. There is limited support for errors that occur in 7-zip.
Resolution¶
Try re-installing 7-zip by downloading it from http://www.7-zip.org/download.html.If re-installing 7-zip doesn't work, then you can try the alternative within BackupAssist called Zip64.
To enable zip64 follow the steps below:
- Open BackupAssist
- Click on 'Jobs' at the top of the BackupAssist console and select the particular job you need to change from the list provided.
- Click on 'NTBackup Options' down the left hand side.
- Scroll down to 'Compress Backup File' and change 'Compression Type' to Zip64.
