BA855: Mailbox Protection is not available for Exchange 2013.¶
End of life
Mailbox Protection reached end of life on 28 February 2017 and is not part of BackupAssist v10 and later. This article applies to BackupAssist v9 and earlier, which no longer receive technical support. See Software end of life.

Description¶
The error is reported when:
- There is an attempt to add an Exchange 2013 Server to Mail Protection backup job
- There is an attempt to back up Exchange 2013 (run the job created in older Backup Assist version or if Exchange Server was upgraded to version 2013).
Resolution¶
Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 is not supported with Exchange Mailbox Protection backups.
